i’m a health goddess now
lmao jk but not really
(pls keep reading lmao)
If you’ve been following me on Instagram stories, you’ll know that I’ve been going to Sweat & Tonic (a Toronto gym with lux amenities!) EVERY. DAMN. WEEKDAY. I know. Who knew this day would happen because I didn’t. Honestly prior to this I moved very minimally and drove everywhere.
But to be honest with an upcoming trip to Cabo… I got my ass moving everyday and I’ve been loving how I feel now!! Pretty sure I’m gonna keep this up even after Cabo (at least I hope…) It’s now my 3rd week and I can actually can feel abs LOL and now I sleep much better too!
I love S&T because I was actually looking for a personal trainer for awhile because I needed someone to yell at me to move (self workouts do NOT work on me…) but I also didn’t want the attention of just one person and also the price point was too steep with a PT.
When S&T offered me to try out their gym, I was really happy with the classes; they have a huge variety – from yoga, HIIT, cycling, pilates, boxing, etc so I’m not just committing to one type of workout and I get someone yelling at me but not JUST me, ya know?
I’ve been able to go everyday because the classes are truly enjoyable and the amenities are amazing!! Their sinks and showers are all gold… idk if that matters to anyone else but it’s such vibe LOL
This was my first time going to a “luxury” gym and I truly found out what that meant. It literally means you don’t have to bring a damn thing and everything was just thought out for you.
FOR EXAMPLE… (if you care), when I first showed up, I actually brought a freaking LOCK LMAO (AM I EMBARRASSING?!). I was so used to bringing my own lock to gyms that I brought one but their lockers all come with gold locks. There’s even tampons in the change rooms, and even their showers are all gold. Literally the dream.
I also like how you can book spots… idk how common this is but I went to a bootcamp before and spots were first come first serve and there was never a cap which I didn’t like. It can be super crowded and there was nothing you can do about it.
My favourites so far have definitely been the HIIT classes for toning, but I’ve also tried pilates to get that “John Tucker Must Die” Mom body. I also do YIN yoga sometimes if I need to meditate or feel like I need to wind down from the week.
If you’re also in Toronto, feel free to click this below for a free S&T credit/class!!
Love,
Lisa
